Drainage of water from the wetlands into a newly developed area of this New Canaan yard necessitated a trench drain around the perimeter of the new lawn area.
To insure proper drainage of the new pool terrace and to avoid run-off into the pool, we installed a French drain around the perimeter of the terrace. The pool terrace always remains well-drained and dries quickly.
This driveway bridge in Old Greenwich, CT was constructed with low fieldstone side walls, capped by rockface bluestone. Weep holes at the base of the wall allow water to drain efficiently to the stream below.
In back country Greenwich, we installed this trench drain in a low area of the yard to allow the garden, installed along the fence to drain properly and the plants to thrive.
Run-off in this steeply sloped yard in North Stamford was a problem. Our solution was a decorative drainage swale, lined with boulders, river rock and plantings that tolerate moisture. This swale neatly contains the run-off and creates a beautiful landscape feature.

To insure proper drainage of the expansive pool terrace at this home in New Canaan, CT, we added a drain along the perimeter of the terrace. Even in torrential rain storms the terrace dries quickly.
